Our Story

ShieldTune was founded by Jeff A. Duncan, who brings together over two decades of information technology experience and deep expertise in AI and data science — including years in manufacturing at Lenovo and building custom AI systems for enterprise clients.

After years watching businesses struggle to harness AI in practical, field-ready ways, Jeff saw a more pressing problem: junior HVAC technicians hitting job sites undertrained, with no good way to get fast, reliable answers when things go wrong. Senior techs can't be everywhere at once, and paper manuals don't cut it in the field.

The idea was straightforward: take the knowledge locked inside equipment manuals and make it conversationally accessible from any device. AI Mentor was built to close that gap.
